Four Points by Sheraton, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive portfolio, has launched its first hotel in Senegal, the Four Points by Sheraton Dakar Diamniadio. This new property offers African travel agents a fresh and dynamic product within Dakar’s innovative Sports City complex.
Located just 20 minutes from Blaise Diagne International Airport, the hotel provides seamless access to key landmarks, including the Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre (CICAD), the Ministerial Sphere, the UN Headquarters for West Africa, and the soon-to-be-completed Diamniadio Olympic Stadium, the centerpiece of the 2026 Summer Youth Olympics.
Marriott International emphasizes the strategic significance of this opening, highlighting Senegal’s rich cultural heritage and Diamniadio’s growing economic prominence. The hotel aims to cater to the diverse needs of today’s travelers, supporting the region’s expanding business, sports, and tourism sectors.
The Four Points by Sheraton Dakar Diamniadio offers 173 stylish rooms with panoramic views of the Sports City. Guests can enjoy signature amenities such as the Four Comfort Bed, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, and a revitalizing breakfast service. Dining options include FP Social, offering all-day fresh cuisine, and Chic’ Afrique, serving local and international dishes in a vibrant, African-inspired setting. The FP Social Bar provides a relaxed ambiance, featuring the brand’s Best Brews™ program, a curated selection of local craft beers.
The hotel boasts an outdoor pool, a cutting-edge fitness center, and 139 square meters of adaptable meeting space across four rooms, ideal for both corporate events and social gatherings. As the sole hotel within Diamniadio Sports City, guests have unparalleled access to world-class sports facilities, including a FIFA-certified football pitch, basketball and tennis courts, an Olympic-size pool, multiple gyms, and a wellness center. A children’s playground with a climbing wall provides additional entertainment for families.
The hotel’s management underscores its commitment to embodying the Senegalese spirit of hospitality, known as “Teranga,” throughout the guest experience. From design and amenities to personalized service, the hotel aims to blend international standards with the warmth and generosity of Senegalese culture.
Diamniadio’s strategic development as a smart city, coupled with the upcoming 2026 Summer Youth Olympics, presents significant opportunities for African travel professionals. The hotel’s prime location offers convenient access to key government and business institutions, while Dakar’s main attractions, such as the African Renaissance Monument, Gorée Island, and vibrant local markets, are easily reachable by highway or rail.
Travel agents can leverage the Four Points by Sheraton Dakar Diamniadio to create compelling itineraries for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel’s comprehensive facilities, combined with its unique setting within Sports City, cater to a wide range of interests, from corporate meetings and sports tourism to cultural exploration and family vacations. This new addition to Senegal’s hospitality landscape offers a valuable product for African travel agents seeking to expand their offerings and tap into the growing demand for diverse travel experiences in the region.
